The original film
Disney’s first foray into feature films was a compilation of previously made shorts that had won Oscars. The marathon showcase was one big advert for the then highly anticipated Snow White and Seven Dwarfs.
Surprisingly, despite the majority of shorts being Silly Symphonies there are not many actual songs within the film. Accept for the very notable, big bad wolf song which was the first original Disney song to hit the charts. It was widely distributed and was a best-selling single during the early years of the Great Depression.
This highly extensive collection of Disney soundtracks, I’m about to embark on, are all due to this one song.
- “Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf” - by Frank Churchill and Ann Ronell (performed by Mary Moder, Dorothy Compton, and Pinto Colvig) from The Three Little Pigs segement.
Disney released remixes and covers
