A Goofy Movie - 44

The Original Film

A Goofy Movie is the second and last film to come out of the Disney Afternoon. This one based off the series, Goof Troop. This movie is also one of my personal favorites and is easily in my top five along with CinderellaRobin Hood, and a few others we haven’t covered yet.
All songs in the film were written by Carter Burwell and Don Davis.
  1. “After Today” - Aaron Lohr and Chorus
  2. “Stand Out” - Tevin Campbell
  3. “On the Open Road” - Bill Farmer, Aaron Lohr, and Chorus
  4. “Lester’s Possum Park” - Kevin Quinn and Chorus
  5. “Nobody Else But You” - Bill Farmer and Aaron Lohr
  6. “I 2 I” - Tevin Campbell
Deleted Songs
So at least one deleted song has been released…
  1. “Born To Be Bad” - Pete and Goofy
There’s at least one other song called “Made In The Shade” but it’s not been released. Also according to the Disney Wiki, Bobby Brown was originally meant to be Powerline and had his own songs written for the part. When he was cut from the film he took those songs and reworked them for his personal album, Forever. Only no one knows which songs were meant to be which, so I’m just going to post the ones that have Bobby Brown as a writing credit on them.
  1. “It’s Still My Thang"
  2. "Feelin’ Inside”
  3. “She’s All I Need”
  4. “My Place”
  5. “Give It Up”
  6. “Happy Days”
  7. “Forever"
  8. "Sunday Afternoon”
  9. “Heart and Soul”
It’s as much as your guess as mine as to which ones are which and how much of a reworking/rewrite they got.
Sequels
An Extremely Goofy Movie  is a direct to DVD sequel and I’m perhaps one of the few people who enjoys it as much a the original and won’t bitch about Roxanne not being in it. Seriously guys, Roxanne has no personality to speak of and we never even saw her and Max on a single date. To demand a couple of teens stay together through collage is ridiculous. *eyeroll*
  1. “Future’s So Bright I Gotta Wear Shades” - Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo
  2. “Right Back Where We Started From” - Cleopatra
  3. “Shake Your Groove Thing” - Peaches & Herb
  4. “Knock on Wood” - Carmen Carter
  5. “Don’t Give Up” - John Avila, Terrence A. Carson, Carmen Carter and Carl Graves
  6. “You Make Me Feel Like Dancing” - Carmen Carter and Donnie McClurkin
  7. “Nowhere to Run” - John Avila
  8. “Pressure Drop” - The Specials
  9. “C'mon Get Happy!” - The Partridge Family
Disney Released Remixes and Covers
Not a cover, but awesome anyways….

  1. “Stand Out” - Mitchell Musso DisneyMania 7
  2. “On The Open Road” - Jason Marsden and Bill Farmer
