Zootopia - 83

The Original Film

The film’s score is composed by Michael Giacchino. In addition to her voice role of Gazelle, pop star Shakira also contributed an original song to the film titled “Try Everything,” which was written by Sia and Stargate.

Inside Out - 81

The Original Film

I don’t think I ever warmed up to Pixar. Don’t get me wrong, the majority of their films are certainly well made and enjoyable, but I personally never gravitated towards them as much as Disney’s more fantasy-centric movies. However Inside Out is far and way my favorite Pixar film to date and perhaps one my favorite animated films ever. Certainly in the top ten at least.
  1. “The Joy of Credits” - Michael Giacchino

The Original Film

So there’s only one song in the whole movie, plus the films score by Henry Jackman.

Frozen - 79

The Original Film

My opinion on Frozen as a film is mixed at best. It’s overrated, the story is convoluted, the message is muddled, the art design is dull, the villain is weak, ect. But it’s also entertaining to watch, the characters are engaging, the sisterly relationship refreshing, and the music is fantastic. Said music was composed by husband and wife team,  Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez along with  Christophe Beck.

Frankenweenie - 77

The Original Film

Frankenweenie hasn’t reached cult status like it’s spiritual counter part Nightmare Before Christmas, however it’s more closely connected to the Disney Studios then the latter. Based off a short that Tim Burton made at Disney when he was still working there, the film actually carries the Disney logo instead of the Touchstone one. That said the actual production company comprised more of Burton’s Productions then Disney’s.
