Chicken Little - 66

The Original Film

Chicken Little is perhaps my least favorite Disney movie, with it’s soundtrack being one of the very few things I actually like about the film. Most of songs are covers of various pop/rock classics. With only one new song composed for the film by the Barenaked Ladies and an original score by John Debney.
  1. “Stir It Up” - Joss Stone and Patti LaBelle
  2. “One Little Slip” - Barenaked Ladies
  3. “Shake a Tail Feather” - The Cheetah Girls
  4. “All I Know” - Five for Fighting
  5. “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” - Diana Ross
  6. “It’s the End of the World as We Know It” - R.E.M.
  7. “We Are the Champions” - Zach Braff
  8. “Wannabe” - Joan Cusack and Steve Zahn
  9. “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” - The Chicken Little Cast
Deleted Songs
Wikipedia has this song listed as being in the film but it’s not on the soundtrack and I can’t find any clips of it so…I’ll just place it here for now.
  1.  "It’s Too Late" -  Carole King
Disney Released Remixes and Covers
Since most of the songs in the film are covers, I thought I’d show off the original songs.
  1. “Stir It Up” - Patti LaBelle Beverly Hills Cop OST
  2. “Shake a Tail Feather” - The Five Du-Tones Hairspray OST (1988)
  3. “All I Know ” - Art Garfunkel
  4. “We Are The Champions” - Queen
  5. “Wannabe” - Spice Girls
  6. “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” - Elton John and Kiki Dee

Home on the Range - 64

The Original Film

Home on the Range was in development hell for fucking ever! Alan Menken began working on the songs back in 1998 right after Hercules finished production. Most of the movie’s soundtrack was completed by 1999 with Glenn Slater on lyrics. The movie wouldn’t be released for another five years, when the usual production time is two to three years. In between then Alan Menken wrote one other song,  “Will the Sun Ever Shine Again” as a reaction to 9/11. Disney wound up using it in this movie.
  1. “(You Ain’t) Home On The Range” - Chorus
  2. “Little Patch of Heaven” - k.d. lang
  3. “Yodel-Adle-Eedle-Idle-Oo” - Randy Quaid and Chorus
  4. “Will the Sun Ever Shine Again” - Bonnie Raitt
  5. “(You Ain’t) Home on the Range” - Echo Mine Reprise - Chorus
  6. “Wherever the Trail May Lead” - Tim McGraw
  7. “Anytime You Need A Friend” - The Beu Sisters
  8. “Anytime You Need a Friend” - Alan Menken
